In this distance is Llyn Drum Boeth and beyond it the ridge crest of DIffwys. In the near foreground, or rather, below it, is the Diffwys "New Quarry" begun in the early 1880s in virgin ground to the south east of Drum Boeth. It was reached by a new long tramway and two incline sfrom the back of the Floor 6 Mill.
