This is one of the many levels that were driven into the cliff face to dig out the coal. This level was about 18 inches high and typically for the area the roof was propped up with beach stone. This level was probably worked by a child aged 7 to 11 years old for it's size. Unfortunately not long after photographing this one the cliff collapsed and I havent seen it since.
