After parking up at the Bridge near the main road, a lengthy walk which looks flat on aerial views actually climbs a lengthy Hill then falls very steeply down the other side toward the old Wagonway. Eventually we arrived. We walked a distance toward the old Colliery site Looking East toward Pittington, Sadly not much to see on the former Sunderland to Durham Line, but lots of rubble on the track bed indicating something was here, This is a rather remote area though there is a Housing estate behind us, Due to its location, It has a desolated feel to the place.
