Bonvilles Court Colliery Main Line Siding 1991

This photo was taken with the main Pembroke Dock Railway line behind me. I am looking back towards the colliery. This siding was opened in the 1880s to get coal onto the main line for transporting rather then using the harbour at Saundersfoot where shipping rates were higher at the time. It didn't last long though as they tended to hold up the passenger trains to much.
