Although marked disused from the 1919 map, a number of new buildings have appeared, it is unknown whether this was still used for Man riding? or just kept as an air Shaft with the ability to be used as an escape shaft? The nearby Nicholson Pit was also used in a similar way, which still has its pumping equipment.
