Where was the drift?
Supposed to be the first shaft mine in Cleveland, it also had a drift which was in the foreground. Landscaped about 1970. The right-hand mound was installed 1933 so that tubs coming out of the drift could be reversed and carried up above rail wagons to be unloaded.
