Votty & Bowydd Open Workings from Tuxford Ca. 1914

This is the view looking down from "New" Tuxford (Diffwys Floor 3) down past "Old" Tuxford (Diffwys Floor 0) where you can see the loop and track curving away to the old tunnel on the left from the original head of the incline. In themiddle distance is the old "Percival's" Mill which was leased to Maenofferen in 1877, whil dim in the distance are the tips of old Hafodty, soon to be tipped over by waste from "New" Tuxford. You can make out and incline and the adit level which supplied water from Hafody pit reservoir to the various V&B mills (follow the troughing back from the mill, if you can't spot it.).
