view looking east towards Birch tor, Vitifer

in the valley bottom was once a miner's bunkhouse, Captain's house and other dwellings as well as a dry, a carpenter's shop and process plant. The older workings are to the left, upstream, later workings including East Vitifer and Golden Dagger are downstream to the right. The pole is the only relic of the later working telecommunications and power distribution; the Warren House Inn 1/2 mile back up this track on the B3212 Moreton to Princetown road still uses a generator.
