The Whiteworks Adit
With its shallow outfall are the Strane River, this adit was presumably drives some time about the late 18th or early 19th century. It can’t be more than a fathom beneath surface for the first 100yrds: the mine must’ve been very rich to warrant the undertaking.
Today nothing exists of the portal, but a large issue of water does surface from its recorded location.
