The "Pimple" ca 1968

According to the manager, even as they were working away at the mountain, they were always required to leave a distinctive "pimple" on the top as it was a landmark for shipping - something that seems to have been abandoned in more recent times! This was the pimple, all that remained of the next higher floor - you can see the outline of the incline drumhouse on the top.
