The old stores.

Looking south. The old stores building, The only surviving item is now boxing club, a new building has been built on this (not in view) the tree area behind the cars was the massive Winding House and Downcast shaft. The upcast shaft was to the right of this.
The former pit heaps are still partly present, now landscaped there is quite a large one to the right of the camera (not in view).
Of useless trivia Brian Ferry (of Roxy Music) Father worked at this mine.
