Telegraph pole, Vitifer mine

The early 20th century working of Vitifer, East Vitifer and Golden Dagger mines included communications and power to these upland workings. Old pics show poles dotted about and at one stage a small power house generated electricity. This is the only pole remaining presumably from the workings in this valley that finally ceased just prior to WW2.
