Stull in Frongoch Adit
After leaving Boundary Shaft the adit then crosscuts the main lode. As in most mines, wide areas of stoping were supported by timbering and deadwork. Besides giving support to the cheeks of the stope, it served a second useful purpose utilising waste rock or "deads" so the stuff didn't have to be trammed out of the mine and tipped.
