Stone buildings

Stone building ruins at the Mariscal Mine in southern Big Bend National Park. The high peaks of the Chisos Mountains are in the distance (to the north). Cinnabar was discovered around 1900, and mining and ore processing occurred intermittently between 1900 and 1943 when mining operations ended.
