Standing on part of Andrews House

Whilst at Tanfield Railway for the Steam Day which had a fine selection of Classic cars, I wondered over to Marley hill and this former mine, According to http://www.dmm.org.uk/colliery/a010.htm this mine opened 1843 and closed 1920, possibly due its close proximity to Marley Hill. However its shafts were still shown on 1960 map. Tanfield railway now use part of the site as a storage area. There is also a coal droppage point to the left near the Listed Railway building.
