Slate waggons at Rail Wharf
These wagons are about 15cwt each and 30" gauge
A down train was generally a single wagon, carrying 4-5 tons of slate (12 trains/day between 8am and noon)
Up trains were normally a pair of wagons between 4pm and 6pm pulled by a single horse (horses were stabled at local farms)
