Second Winch-house

Above the Slab quarry there is the second of the three winches where wagons were raised or lowered on a hawser. Part of the brake wheels for this are seen through the damaged roof. Unlike the first winch where wagons passed under the gear system at this one they dog-legged around the winch. The operator (brakeman) stood in the small uphill structure.
