Ruturn Drift Manrider

Carriages uncoupled and out of service at the end of mining. Shown at the top of the return drift (High Main Level). This was a single line drift with an automatic passbye at its halfway point it terminated at Brinsley Seam. The ascending and descending trains would be directed into two tracks opposite sides to pass whilst at speed. Quite a sight. You can see the Three Rails. All in situ.
