Redbrook Colliery shaft vent compound

Redbrook colliery site is now a business/enterprise park. It was orignally the other end of Dodworth Colliery. It was sunk to access reserves of coal which were too far away from the Dodworth shafts. Incidently the coal was closer to North Gawber colliery so why they did not work the reserves is a mystery!
