Plaque

The Mountain mine man engine house was conserved by the Mining Heritage Trust of Ireland during three phases from Ocr. 2002 to May 2004. This photograph shows the unveiling of a plaque by Paddy Harrington (who worked in the mine in the 1950's) and Mr. Hodges (one the last descendants of the Cornish who worked the mine in the C19th).
