old pit heap area

The heap has been levelled slightly, leaving a rather lumpy area. There appears to be lots of rubble and old unnamed bricks nearby and close to the shaft cap. The bits of concrete that are scattered about does make you wonder, was it part of the mine or just someone's dumping ground?
