New Robey ?

A publicity drawing of Robey's. Showing "an undergound incline" - I suspect this may well be Votty's "New Robey" as installed - perhaps with a bit of artistic license.

The 1913 Quarry inventory describes the still in place steam parts of this incline as follows:

1 x 50 NHP Horizontal Robey Engine
2 x 25 NHP Loco type Boilers
3 drums x 4ft. dia.
Ropes 7/8" x 300yds, 250yds, 200yds.
Which makes sense.
