Miners' Circle
The Fraterville Miners' Circle at Leach Cemetery (behind Clear Branch Baptist Church) in Lake City, in the U.S. state of Tennessee. The circle contains the graves of 89 miners killed in the Fraterville Mine Disaster, which occurred opposite Walden Ridge in the community of Fraterville, on May 19, 1902. The explosion killed 216 miners, 184 of whom were identified. The names of these 184 miners are listed on the obelisk at the center of the circle. The circle was added to the U.S. National Register of Historic Places in 2005.
