Middle Hill Colliery 1996.

This photo is taken from the north side of the Valley showing the man made landscape of the south side of the valley. The spoil heaps can be seen below the treeline. The largest spoilheap still exists in the centre of the photo to the left of Greenfields, although my father took about 3 metres off the top in 1978.
