Lumley 8th Pit remains 2016 looking North-ish
A concrete hard standing and what looks like some ramps, to tip the coals out of the carts? note the concrete boulders behind that possibly held up the rails as they dropped the coals? On Aerial views you can trace the former Wagonway from the 6th Pit, there is square patch area, possibly the remains of a Haulage Engine? which is in the next field.
