Looking East 2019
Site of the mine, The area is on quite high ground which meant the railway leading off to left linked up with The E pit and swung around to the Ouston Mines would have been on built up ground or perhaps a haulage engine to The A pit.
The site is now a small Farm, there isn't much to show this area was once a coal mine and busy mass of railway sidings.
Just to the left not in view once showed "Air shaft" on old maps but again no visible signs of its past.
The Static caravan to the right is roughly where The A pit shaft was.
