Hope Level portal (1970''s/ 80''s)

ebgb adds .." Not longer after this the whole place was abandoned - very quickly. nobody really know how or where it came from but there was an immense inrush of water - the force of which was enough to move the eimco - nobody ever found it again (that said I'm not sure they actually went back up to look). my Next door neighbour is Jonny hogarth who is on one of the other hope level pics (third from right) he was working up there when it happened. the water went down one of the rises and pretty much collapsed it, they got out down the main working rise..."
