Gwaithcoch
The Vale of Rheidol railway crosses the tips at the top, where a shaft was sunk. The site of the blocked Gwaithcoch middle adit was on the right of the ledge half way down, and the deep adit, still partly open, is on the path along the bottom of the main tip. The thicker tips near the dressing floors at the bottom are from the deep adit. Complicated?
