Gantry over main road. C 1990

This will be familiar to anyone who knew Park Mill. Looking towards Scisset, it was originally constructed as double track to carry coal from Park Mill up to the Colliery screens, at Clayton West. Looks to have lost the capping to the left hand buttress at some time...

  • I remember going on the old Blue and cream County but from Wakefield to Holmfirth to visit my Auntie and going under this viaduct. in the 50's and early 60's. (Cyril Maurice)
  • Brilian picture, I remember going to Holmfirth on the old Blue and White County but and turning left up to Clayton West just after the gantry. I believer there are flats there on the left now. (Cyril Maurice)
