Fawdon E pit map 1897
On the 1859 it is also listed as Fawdon B pit? Could it possibly be a typing error ? The site looks abandoned but possibly operated on a "Market Dictates" open or standby. To The upper left shows "Well" and Hydraulic Ram? I have no information as to what this actually is or that it had any connection to the mines? , However it is still in situ.
Hazlerigg Colliery https://www.aditnow.co.uk/Mines/Hazlerigg-Coal-Colliery_8975/ is to the North of this mine, one of its former shafts is a pumping station, whether this has taken over from the hydraulic ram again is unclear.
There is to be a new spine road cutting through from Great Park, It is not clear if the Ram is to be removed or just left alone.
