Fawdon A & B pits 1939

More housing which will dominate the area over the next decade, the wagonway that cuts through the map is now the Metro Line with Fawdon Metro station just below the A pit site, The A pit looks abandoned whilst the B pit still has the odd building but again looks abandoned, whilst the pit heap awaits landscaping.
