Endeans Shaft

About 1996 there was a massive fall in Endeans shaft which not only took away all of the ladders and other shaft timberwork but also blocked the shaft at the 24 fathom level.
This was so severe that it raised the power take of bob for the power train to new shaft by 8 inches off the floor.
This photograph is actually 2 vertical shots joined together in Photoshop, technology that was not available when they were taken!
It shows the shaft before the fall.
