Dinas Incline Drumhouse 1975

This was the "Big Incline" to the FR from Middle Quarry and dated from the early 1900's, replacing a pair of inclines in tandem much further to the north. The drum here is NOT original, being yet another of the ubiquitous C Incline drums and shaft removed from that convenient source of parts. The original drum would have been much larger and single, occupying most of the space between the supporting walls. The original ropes were over 1500 ft long each.
