dewatering plant - Warrego 1978

Typical tailings dewatering set up. In the acres of space available the tailings are disposed by allowing the process water to percolate away. The mine process water was pumped up from underground though occasionally the drinking water produced from a borehole some kilometres away was also used. There was some recycling of water if I recall correctly
