Clipstone

March 2017, a late afternoon sun is going down silhouetting the headframes at the disused but presently listed Clipstone colliery. Most preserved pits are from an earlier era and, not in any way to diminish them, Clipstone is from the era of the post WWII 'mega-pits' of which little else survives so intact; it's in peril but mercifully survived thus far.
