Two Shafts Sunk 1868/9 to 271yards, during 1967 800 men were producing 540 000 tons from the Deep Hard,Piper and Tupton seams, closed in July 1968

  • In the newer plant buildings just left of centre I helped remove a Coal Sampler control panel to take to Hucknall No2 in 1967.
