Ashes Quarry Loco

Low profile loco no.3945 built by Hawthorn Leslie in 1920 for the Consett Iron Company to fit in the tunnel which linked the two parts of the quarry as the company could not purchase the land in between at the time.The quarry closed in 1944 and the loco was scrapped in 1952.
