Cornish beam pumping engine house at Settlingstones. Quoted as a Witherite mine - one of only 4 places in the world with profitable Witherite deposites. Two of the others being Morrison North Pit in County Durham and Snailbeach in Shropshire. In addition to Witherite, at various times Barytes, Lead and Gravel were also mined here.
