This mine was within a continuous line of shafts from the Success Pit NZ327518, Itself more or less in line with the Lambton B shaft NZ321515, The former wagonway linked all these mines including the Dorothea (Dolly Pit) twin sister the Margaret Pit (Peggy) NZ331519 and onto the Philadelphia Engine Works This would dominate the area, This once famous Works built and repaired Steam engines/rolling stock (there is a nearby Powerstation, 1st in the area to supply electricity, now just the building shell remains although said to be listed), However the area will be shortly be Homes and a supermarket.
