Map showing the layout of the Mine (Also known as Moorsley Pit ) The mine opened 1821, closed 1935 http://www.dmm.org.uk/colliery/n022.htm had become part of the nearby Hazard Colliery of which both mines were named after the North Hetton Coal Company, Of interest The Television Presenter Kate Humble and Kate Middleton both have ancestry linked to this Mine.
