Yeranderie Silver Mine (Australia)

This was a silver mine area in the caldera of an ancient volcano, there were several independent companies operating here. Only two made any profit. The ore was sent to Germany for the extraction of the silver and some gold. The mine area is accessible by 50 km road into a national park, all access to underground is closed off due to park regulations. Still a great place to camp and explore to site and the ghost town that still exists.
