Wolfcleugh Lead Mine (United Kingdom)


Ancient shaft workings and small scale level from the W.B.Lead Co which closed in 1846. The mine was reopened by the Weardale Lead Co in 1901-1912 and two shafts sunk. The same company reopened the mine again in 1946 using gear from the recently abandoned St Peter's Mine but without much result.
