Wheal Metal (New Wheal Vor) Tin Mine (United Kingdom)

In operation from 1858 to 1901
Output 3,700T Tin
These workings were to the East of Carleen village. The woods adjacent to the Engine house marking this site were riddled with old levels though these have now been made safe. The engine house is in excellent condition and was heavily built to contain the 85" engine fitted. Access is on private property and permission should be had before closer inspection. Iclok.
