West Chiverton Lead Mine (United Kingdom)

Operated: 1859-1886
Output: 45,100T of Lead, 22,000 T of Zinc, 1,221,200 oz Silver.
Rems: This was a very rich mine and the richest of the Chiverton Group. The engine house on Batter's shaft is extremely well preserved and is unusual in that the Chimney is in the centre of the back wall with the main cylinder door on the side wall. The engine house is very well built and is probably one of the best in the region.
Below the engine house are extensive dumps and tailings.

Parish: PERRANZABULOE
