Lead/silver mine to be found in Westdown Wood which operated from 1853 – 1872

There are 2 shafts E of road S of Treweatha, there may be another on the other side of the road to W and a fourth 100m NW of Treweatha, All are surrounded by mine tips.

WORKED WITH: Wheal Wrey (SX 298 665). North Trelawny (SX 297 657)

LODES: Killas country rock. NS trending E dipping lode worked for Lead and Silver. With maximum width 30cm the lode is richest between 24m and 127m depth. An elvan dyke is encountered at depth.

KNOWN OUTPUT: 1853 - 1872 : 4,369 tons 67.5% Lead Ore, 145,376 ozs Silver
