During the course of 1852-53, the bronze age tenement of Trevose Head saw trials under the auspice of the "Trevose Silver-Lead Mine". Besides a sett being granted and a few periodic updates in the Mining Journal, written record of the venture is scant. Two adits, a choked shaft and costean pits can be seen near the lighthouse. These are the most extensive record of the works of this small and unimportant mine which was wound up within a year of being formed.
