Tower Hill Colliery (Towerhill) Coal Mine (United Kingdom)

Interesting winding engine remains and heapstead/spoil heap. It appears two identical engine houses were built connected by a small range thus forming a U shape, only the connecting range and 1 engine house remain in tact. Currently under conversion but all work stopped.
Site of shaft on heap behind winder house is a damp depression which used to be regularly inspected by the NCB for subsidence.
