Softley (Soughley) Ganister Mine (United Kingdom)

Small ganister/clay mine supplied a nearby brickworks by a short tramway, which headed across the river joining the line to a small quarry (SE183027) and headed east along the river, then under the railway (now Trans Pennine Trail) to the brickworks (Pennine Cottage) (SE189027).
The mine was abandoned in 1933.
