Silver Brook Mine was a small Silver Lead mine on the Southern limit of Dartmoor at Ivybridge. In a quiet valley a quarter mile SE out of Ilsington stand the ruinous engine house of a 20" pumping engine and 10" whim/crusher. The mine worked a pair of NE trending lodes during the 1850's reaching a max depth of 66 Fathoms.
Known output was 1854-6 93T of 65% Lead ore and 80oz of Silver. During 1857-8 1474T of Zinc ore were returned.
