Silberberg Lead Mine is located in the side of a steep gulley near the village of Davos Monstein, canton Graubunden, in South Eastern Switzerland. The mine site is included in the Bunder mining museum - Bergbaumuseum/Schaubergwerk Silberberg - and is reached via a steep path through the woods on the Southern side of the Landwassertal (valley), with the last part to the workings actually cantilevered out from the cliff on the side of the gulley. Tours of one of the stollen (tunnel/level) are given as part of the visit to the museum, which is located close to the Rhb (Rhaetian Railway) station for Davos Monstein (hourly stopping trains call there on request) deep in the Zugenschlucht gorge below the mine. The museum is open between June and October on Wednesdays and Saturdays.
